Uganda is Africa's worst employer according to the International confederation of Free Trade Unions-Africa. The government not only fails to support workers' rights, but uses the inhuman working conditions as a marketing tool to attract private investors. Violations reported include verbal abuse, beatings, sexual harassment and requirement for permission to use the toilet, which is restricted to once per shift.
